One deep mine left in Wales employing a few hundred from an industry, that within living memory employed 230,000. The white coats of electronics factories have replaced the coal black of the mines in the dramatic industrial upheaval of the last 20 years. Farming is the latest industry to be in crisis from a government that is perceived to be out of touch with the needs of rural communities. |
